As part of the ERASMUS+ project 1FUTURE, University College "CEPS – Center for Business Studies" in Kiseljak continued the implementation of planned guest lectures through teaching visits by international experts in the fields of sustainability, risk management, and climate change.
The first set of lectures was delivered by Prof. Dr. Henrik Hassel, Head of the Office at the Department of Risk Management and Societal Safety at Lund University (Sweden), on Wednesday and Thursday, March 26 and 27, 2025. The topic of his lectures was "Application of Robust Decision-Making in Risk Management in Spatial Planning," with a special focus on decision-making methodologies under uncertainty and complex system conditions.
The guest lecture series continued on Thursday and Friday, March 27 and 28, 2025, with a lecture by Dr. Davide Longato, a postdoctoral researcher at the University IUAV of Venice (Italy). His lecture, titled "Digital Cities and Climate Change," presented new concepts of digital transformation of cities through the lens of urban resilience and climate challenges.
The lectures attracted a large number of CEPS students and faculty members, with part of the activities held at the recently established Knowledge Hub for Climate and Sustainability (KHCS) , further strengthening its role as a center for knowledge exchange and cooperation.
CEPS extends its gratitude to the lecturers for their valuable contributions, and to all participants for their active engagement. These lectures represent a significant step in achieving the goals of the 1FUTURE project and in building capacity for education on climate change, resilience, and sustainable development.
