The University College “CEPS – Center for Business Studies” in Kiseljak hosted the first international scientific-expert workshop CANDOR (Complete Situational Awareness for Natural Disaster Overcoming and Response), held from October 5 to 9, 2025. Organized in cooperation with DTCare Sarajevo and the Faculty of Technical Sciences Novi Sad, the workshop brought together leading experts from eleven countries with the goal of enhancing knowledge and exchanging experiences in forecasting, responding to, and managing crises caused by natural disasters. Supported through NATO’s Science for Peace and Security programme, this initiative represents a significant contribution to strengthening regional cooperation and resilience to climate and security challenges.
During the workshop, participants were introduced to the Skill2Sustain project, which aims to strengthen digital and green skills in the context of sustainable development and societal resilience to crisis situations. By linking the project’s goals with the topics of the CANDOR workshop, the importance of integrating digital tools and green transition principles into disaster management and climate resilience processes was highlighted. In this context, CEPS also presented plans for developing an innovative undergraduate study program in Disaster Risk Management, combining digital technologies, sustainable development, and modern approaches to crisis management.
