At the Ivanić-Grad University of Applied Sciences in Croatia, a promotion event was held presenting ongoing international and development projects of the University College “CEPS-Center for Business Studies” Kiseljak. On this occasion, the Director of the University College CEPS Kiseljak, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mirzo Selimić, and the Head of the Office for International Cooperation, who is also responsible for project activities, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nermin Palić, addressed the audience. They presented the main objectives of the projects, the activities implemented so far, and the planned steps for the upcoming period of their implementation. More than 40 participants attended the event, including teaching and non-teaching staff, students, and secondary school pupils from Ivanić-Grad.
Participants were introduced to the strategic importance of the projects for the development of CEPS, the enhancement of teaching and research capacities, and the strengthening of cooperation with European and regional partners. Special emphasis was placed on projects contributing to the green and digital transition, modernization of study programmes, development of innovative teaching methodologies, strengthening the research role of higher education institutions, and fostering connections between academia, industry, public institutions, and civil society.
The following projects were presented: GROWTH, aimed at strengthening environmental awareness and developing the concept of green universities; 1FUTURE, which through an interdisciplinary approach enhances the role of higher education in sustainability and climate change mitigation; SEE-GL, focused on modernizing education in transport logistics through the integration of ESG principles; Res-Uni, contributing to digital transformation and the development of university research capacities; CORE-ED ACADEMY, dedicated to building innovative capacities in correctional pedagogy and juvenile justice; SKILL2SUSTAIN, supporting the development of digital and green skills through new study programmes and lifelong learning; IMPACT-Campus, establishing Centres for Knowledge Valorisation and strengthening innovation ecosystems; WIDERA.NET, a specialized EU-funded network of National Contact Points (NCPs) designed to support Widening Participation and Strengthening the European Research Area (ERA) under Horizon Europe; and PRODIGY-E, which enhances project, innovation, and management capacities in higher education.
The event further strengthened institutional visibility and cooperation at the regional level, while reaffirming CEPS’s strategic commitment to international partnership, innovation, digital transformation, and sustainable academic development.
