Within the Erasmus+ CBHE project SKILL2SUSTAIN, the activities of Work Package 3 aimed at strengthening the green and digital capacities of higher education institutions in the Western Balkan countries have been successfully implemented. The activities included the procurement, installation, and activation of modern equipment, the establishment of Research Education Centres (RECs) for the green and digital transition, and the development of a regional cooperation network linking academia, business, and the public sector.
The University College “CEPS – Center for Business Studies” Kiseljak successfully carried out its planned activities within this work package. A Research Education Centre for the Green and Digital Transition was established, the planned equipment was procured and activated, and CEPS actively participated in the development of the regional REC network through the upgraded 1FUTURE online platform, which enables more intensive cooperation among students, academic staff, experts, and the business sector.
Special importance was attached to the workshops for relevant stakeholders, which were successfully organized in Tirana, Podgorica, Sarajevo, and Banja Luka. Through the workshop held at the Chamber of Economy of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, CEPS presented the new Disaster Risk Management study programmes with 180 and 240 ECTS credits, the REC centres, and the opportunities for cooperation within the established network. The workshops enabled the exchange of experiences among representatives of academia, business, and the public sector, while promoting the digital and green transition and strengthening regional cooperation.
Through the implementation of Work Package 3, CEPS is further strengthening its role as a regional center for the development of digital and green competencies and contributing to the connection between education, business, and the public sector in the process of sustainable and innovative transition.
