At University College CEPS, a promotion of ongoing international and development projects was held for academic and administrative staff as well as newly enrolled students. On this occasion, the Director of University College CEPS, Doc. dr. Mirzo Selimić, and the Head of the Office for International Cooperation and Project Activities, Doc. dr. Nermin Palić, addressed the audience and presented the main objectives of the projects, activities implemented to date, and the planned steps for the upcoming project periods. More than 400 attendees participated in the event.
Participants were introduced to the strategic importance of these projects for the development of CEPS, the enhancement of teaching and research capacities, and the strengthening of cooperation with European and regional partners. Special emphasis was placed on projects contributing to the green and digital transition, modernization of study programmes, development of innovative teaching methodologies, strengthening the research role of higher education institutions, and linking academia with industry, public institutions, and civil society.
The following projects were presented: GROWTH, focused on strengthening environmental awareness and developing the concept of green universities; 1FUTURE, which through an interdisciplinary approach reinforces the role of higher education in sustainability and the fight against climate change; SEE-GL, aimed at modernizing education in transport logistics through the integration of ESG principles; Res-Uni, contributing to digital transformation and the development of universities’ research capacities; CORE-ED ACADEMY, dedicated to developing innovative capacities in correctional pedagogy and juvenile justice; SKILL2SUSTAIN, supporting the development of digital and green skills through new study programmes and lifelong learning; IMPACT-Campus, which establishes Knowledge Valorisation Centres and strengthens innovation ecosystems; CANDOR, an international initiative focused on strengthening resilience to natural disasters and crisis management; and PRODIGY-E, which enhances project development, innovation, and governance capacities in higher education.
Through this promotion, CEPS once again confirmed its commitment to internationalisation, sustainable development, and the active involvement of students and staff in projects that have a direct impact on the quality of education, employability, social responsibility, and the long-term development of both the institution and the wider community.
